Harmoni is the leading independent provider of Primary Care Services. We provide services for urgent and unscheduled care, and increasingly provide primary medical services on a 24 x 7 basis. Traditionally Harmoni has provided Out of Hours Services and now provide this service to over 7 million patients across the UK. The focus for Harmoni is to deliver high quality and patient friendly services. We have used Lean Methodology to achieve clinically led service improvement, consistent patient outcomes and Value for Money.
As a result of the UK budget deficit and the financial pressures on the NHS, PCTs are looking at ways of managing the demand on secondary care. Harmoni is establishing local partnerships with GPs to deliver services that will give patients more choice and be delivered closer to home. In particular we are working with local GPs to bid for a variety of GP led services.
Harmoni will work with GPs and commissioners to design and then
robustly manage patient demand in healthcare services. This
can be either as a GP Joint Venture or with a GP consortia
within a locality of between 50,000-300,000 patients
